Well news from the children’s court is that we need to track down the birth mothers husband. They have been separated for 2 years & she does not want him to know about the baby but now the court is insisting that we get an affidavit from him saying that he is not the father, that they are separated & that he does not want to lay claim to the baby.

Firstly the birth mother has no clue where he is & she has stated under oath that he is not the father & that there is no father listed on the birth certificate. Grrr.

I really do not want to make things any harder for the birth mother than what they are already.

Now we have to request a copy of the birth mothers marriage certificate so that we can place an advert in the Zulu news paper requesting that he contact us so that we can get the affidavit out of him. The advert has to run for 3 consecutive days & we need to have original copies to give to the court to prove that we have tried to trace him. Yippee.

Our private social worker seems to be MIA so as yet she has not received her copy of the documents from Durban Children’s Society. Will keep calling her hopefully she will respond. Am thinking about going past her house tonight to drop off the documents.

We are going to court on the 20th April to make the formal request of adoption, but it looks like it is going to be a long process again. The clerk of the court wanted to know how we manage to always get the complicated adoptions. I think I am a magnate for complications

It was a long weekend, Steffy has a head cold & is being pumped full of meds.

The boys are doing great.

Vincent turned 17 on Monday hell time flys… I still remember cursing him for being a week late….

Daniel is back to school tomorrow he is so happy cus he will she his GF again.

Keira has been grumpy all weekend not sure is she is coming down with the flu bug, Hell I hope not.

Other than that nothing happened all is good & calm. *sigh*.

DH is at home with the girls today as my housekeeper is in hospital & the child minder has to go get her childs support grant. Vincent has to be taken to work only draw back is that it is an hours drive to get him to work & he only works for 2 hours today...grrr.

Dh seems to be handling the girls ok, just Keira managed to find a sanitry pad & has put it into her knickers & is announcing to everyone who will listern that she is wearing mommys diaper .

We are kitty sitting two 8 week old kittens for the long weekend not sure how i get myself into these sort of tasks.

btw I got lots of slep last night. Thanks Steffy mommy is now functioning on a full tank of sleep.

Well DH did try do the night run last night but everything went pear shaped.

DH & I only got home form work after 7pm & Steffy was asleep we peered into the cot & she woke up & gave us a HUGE grin.

Then the fun began she refused to go back to sleep DH took her to the spare room & finally got her to sleep at 10pm. He place her in her cot & 5 minutes later she woke up vomitting all over the place DH was quick to get her into a sitting position to stop her choking on the stuff & in the process also got covered in it... eeeewwwwww so once she had completed the deed I bathed & changed her & her linen while DH took a very hot & soapy shower.

Steffy then went to sleep but woke us up & 2am doing the whole vomiting thing again.... so the whole process was started again of cleaning her & her linene up..... poor baby.

After I got her back to sleep she was very restless & DH & I were waiting for her next instalment so we never got much sleep.... about 3 hours....

We went to drop off all Steffys documents at the court & are waiting for them to call us in to sign the application for adoption papers.

We think Steffy is teething grrrrr.... Any how according to the boys she has not vomitted again today & has has a few good naps

My grandson is also under the weather his mom let me know she is going to take him to the doctor after work..... we are going into winter so all the kids are gonna catch some sort of bug
